Bekele Abshiro PLC, which imports and distributes several types of fitness machines including SportsArt fitness, successfully conducted a tree-planting movement in the Gerji Mebrat Hail area last Saturday, August 6th, 2022.
SportsArt is a well-known Green Fitness partner that develops products that are crucial to rebuilding and sustaining lives. Our company offers an Eco-Power machine, which can convert human energy into electrical energy (for example, the energy expended on using cardio machines). These are self-powered machines that use human energy entirely, with the exception of running machines. This means we use more than 32% of our electricity consumption on running machines and do not use them on other machines.
The Bekele Abshiro PLC team together with the employees of its sister companies, Wereda 14 Directors, the local community and the families of SportsArt and Life Fitness took part in planting over 400 seedlings that we hope will grow into trees. This is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, which aims to give back to the community and help the environment. By planting these trees, we hope to make a difference in the fight against climate change, and to improve the lives of those in our community.
The tree-planting event was made possible also through the generosity of Desta PLC, EBS Television and Best Water, and Bekele Abshiro PLC plans to continue this program in the future.
